Date and Location:
November 5, 1975, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Arizona.

Witnesses:
A seven-member logging crew, including Travis Walton, was working in the forest that day. The other crew members were Mike Rogers, Ken Peterson, John Goulette, Steve Pierce, Allen Dalis, and Dwayne Smith.
Event Description:
While returning home, the loggers noticed a strange, bright light hovering above the trees. As they approached the light source, they saw a flying object shaped like a flattened disk, approximately 15-20 meters in diameter. The object was hovering about 6-8 meters above the ground.
• Object Appearance:
The object was metallic, silvery-gray, with a smooth surface devoid of visible seams or welds. It had a symmetrical shape reminiscent of a classic “flying saucer.” Its surface was matte, not reflecting light distinctly, but appeared to emit a soft, pulsating glow.
• Lights:
Intense blue-white beams of light were emitted from the lower part of the object. One of these beams struck Travis Walton, throwing him to the ground. The light was described as very bright and focused, almost laser-like. The entire object also seemed to be surrounded by a subtle, pulsating aura, giving it an almost mystical appearance.
• Sound:
In the background, there was a low, pulsating sound, seemingly coming from within the object. This sound was unnatural, vibrating, which intensified the feeling of strangeness and danger among the witnesses.
Travis Walton, driven by curiosity, jumped out of the truck to get a closer look. As he approached the object, he was struck by a beam of energy that lifted him into the air, and then he fell to the ground.
Witness Reaction:
Terrified, Walton’s colleagues fled in panic but soon returned to search for him. However, they found no trace of Walton or the mysterious object. In the following days, an intense search was conducted, but no results were found.
Walton’s Return:
After five days, on November 10, 1975, Travis Walton suddenly appeared in the town of Heber, about 30 kilometers from where he had disappeared. He was physically and mentally exhausted but had no serious injuries.
Travis Walton’s Account – Details
Awakening on the Ship:
After being struck by the beam of light, which knocked him unconscious, Travis Walton regained consciousness in an unknown, alien environment. Initially, he thought he was in a hospital, as he was lying on a table, and the surrounding room was bright and resembled a hospital room. However, he quickly realized that this place was far more unsettling and strange than any hospital.
Encounter with the Beings:
Walton noticed that there were three small beings in the room. They were short, about 120-150 cm tall, with pale, grayish-blue skin. Their heads were relatively large, with wide foreheads and huge, almond-shaped black eyes that seemed to lack pupils. These beings were completely hairless, with no body hair.
Walton described their facial features as delicate, almost expressionless, which heightened his sense of unease. Although these beings appeared fragile, their presence was overwhelming to Walton. In a state of panic, he tried to fight back – he got up from the table and grabbed an object lying nearby, which he swung at them, forcing them to retreat from the room.
Moving Around the Ship:
After the beings left the room, Walton decided to explore his surroundings. He found himself in a corridor of the ship, which was just as bright and sterile as the room he had left. The corridor had no windows, and its walls were smooth, metallic, emitting a soft light.
While moving around the ship, Walton entered another room where he encountered a “human.” It was a tall man, dressed in a helmet and a suit resembling an astronaut’s suit. The man did not speak but gestured for Walton to follow him. Walton, though unsure, decided to trust him, hoping for help.
Encounter with “Humans”:
The man led Walton to another room, where three other figures – two men and one woman – were waiting. They looked more human, with regular facial features, but their appearance was somewhat unnatural, as if they were too perfect, lacking any flaws. They wore smooth, form-fitting suits and helmets, similar to the first man.
These “human” figures also did not respond to Walton’s questions, remaining silent the entire time. They then directed him to sit on a table, where they placed a transparent mask over his face. Walton described the mask as something that immediately caused him to lose consciousness again.
Return to Earth:
When Walton regained consciousness, he found himself on the side of the road, under the open sky. He was in a state of confusion, not knowing how much time had passed since his abduction. It was later revealed that he had been missing for five days, which for him seemed almost completely erased from his memory.
Reactions and Consequences:
After returning, Travis Walton was taken to a hospital where he underwent medical examinations. His physical condition was weakened but showed no serious injuries. In the following days and weeks, Walton underwent polygraph tests to confirm the truthfulness of his account. Although most of the test results were positive, controversies surrounding his story persist to this day, dividing public opinion into supporters and skeptics.
Walton detailed his experiences in the book “The Walton Experience”, and his account became the basis for the movie “Fire in the Sky”, which, however, significantly diverged from the actual testimony, adding dramatic and frightening elements for the film’s storyline
